Samsung Galaxy S25 Review: Futuristic Flagship, Or Repetition?
Samsung has again added a new face to its flagship series in early 2025 — Galaxy S25. Every year there is hype around the Galaxy S series, but the question remains the same: “Does the new Galaxy S really bring anything new?”
The Galaxy S25 comes with a new chipset, improved camera, new design and Samsung’s One UI 7.0 software upgrade. But whether they sound as good on paper as they do in practice — that’s the question to be answered in this review.
Now let’s go every direction Let’s analyze one by one.

1. Design and build quality – simple, but stylish?
Galaxy S25 gives quite a premium look at first glance. Samsung has kept the minimalist aesthetics here — three cameras mounted vertically in separate cutouts, metal frame and matte glass back.
Color Variant: Phantom Black, Ice Blue, and an exclusive “Titan Grey” color
Frame: Armor Aluminum 2.0 – More durable than ever
Glass Protection: Gorilla Glass Victus 3 — more protected against scratches and drops
IP Rating: IP68 — Protected against water and dust
Weight: 197g – Gives a balanced feel, not too light and not too heavy
Verdict: In terms of design, Samsung is as classy and premium as ever. No flashy bad design.
2. Display – Is the Galaxy S25’s screen Samsung’s best?
Samsung always excels at displays, and the Galaxy S25 is no exception.
6.36-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X Panel
120Hz Adaptive Refresh Rate (LTPO)
Peak Brightness: 2600 nits – No problem in the sun during the day
HDR10+ support – HDR content on Netflix, Prime Video is excellent
Color Accuracy: DCI-P3 100% coverage
Eye Comfort: Vision Booster + Eye Comfort Shield
Verdict: This is still one of the best displays on the market. Color, brightness, and fluidity — the Galaxy S25 excels in everything.
3. Performance – The magic of Snapdragon 8 Gen 4
This year’s S25 series uses the same chipset globally — Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4।
Chipset: 4nm architecture – more efficient and powerful
RAM: 8GB LPDDR5X
Storage: 256GB UFS 4.0 (no microSD slot)
Antutu Score: ~1.9 million points
Thermal Management: vapor chamber cooling system
Gaming Test:
- Call of Duty: Ultra Graphics, No Lag
- Genshin Impact: High Settings, buttery smooth
- BGMI: 90fps constant
Thermal throttling did not occur even though it was mildly hot during long gaming sessions.
Verdict: For those who play games, edit videos, or do heavy multitasking — the Galaxy S25 is perfect.
4. Camera – advanced sensor, familiar software?
Samsung has always been serious about cameras. This year’s Galaxy S25 comes with the following setup:
Rear Camera:
- 50MP (f/1.8) Main Sensor – Dual Pixel AF, OIS
- 12MP Ultra-Wide – f/2.2, 120˚ FoV
- 10MP Telephoto – 3x Optical Zoom
Front Camera:
- 12MP – f/2.2, Autofocus
Day Light Performance:
- Sharpness and detailing are excellent
- Color Natural ও Eye-Pleasing
- Dynamic range and HDR are excellent
Low Light Performance:
- If the night mode is on, the noise is reduced a lot
- Bright areas highlight no overexposure
- Improved edge detection in low light portraits
Video Performance:
- 8K @ 30fps, 4K @ 60fps
- EIS + OIS works on video
- Perfect for Vlogging or Mobile Filmmaking
Camera UI & AI Features:
- Pro Mode, Nightography, Super HDR, Astro Mode
- AI Object Eraser, Auto Framing
Verdict: Galaxy S25’s camera is not the best, but very reliable in this price range. It doesn’t have the versatility of the S25 Ultra, but it’s more than enough for everyday use.

5. Battery and charging – big change?
The Galaxy S25 has:
- Battery: 4700 mAh
- Charging: 45W Wired + 15W Wireless
- USB-C 3.2 – Fast data transfer
SOT (Screen-on-Time): Average 6.5–7 hours
Charging Time: 0% to 100% — in 50–55 minutes
Verdict: Both battery life and charging time are better than iPhone. But not having a charger in the box is a pity.
6. Software – One UI 7.0 (Android 15)
The Galaxy S25 will run on Android 15 out of the box One UI 7.0in
Clean, no bloatware
New Lock Screen customizations
AI-Powered “Galaxy AI” – Live Call Translation, Smart Reply, AI Wallpaper
Better battery optimization
Update Promise:
- 4 years of major updates
- 5 years of security updates
Verdict: The software experience is great. One UI is the cleanest and most customizable flagship UI after Google Pixel.
7. Connectivity and other features
- 5G (All India and Global band support)
- Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4
- In-display Ultrasonic Fingerprint Sensor
- eSIM + Physical SIM support
- Stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos – LOUD and CLEAR
- Samsung DeX Support – Turn mobile into computer
- No headphone jack, no microSD slot
Verdict: Feature loaded, some old stuff like SD card is left out, but that’s normal for a flagship.
8. Price and competition
Approximate Price in India: ₹79,999 (8/256GB)
Options:
the phone | the price | good side | Weakness |
iPhone 15 | ₹74,999 | Great camera, iOS ecosystem | 60Hz display |
OnePlus 12 | ₹64,999 | 2K display, 100W charging | A little behind the camera |
Pixel 8 Pro | ₹82,999 | Pure Android, Best Camera | Heating, Battery 🔋 |
Verdict: Although the Samsung S25 is slightly overpriced, it’s a solid deal for Samsung fans and those who want a long-term phone.

My Opinion (User-Oriented Opinion)
I would say the Galaxy S25 “Smart Refinement”. There is no major revolution here, but what has been updated is practical and polished.
Good for whom?
- Those who want a trusted brand
- Those who want premium UI on Android
- Those who want balanced camera and performance
- Those in Samsung’s ecosystem
Not for whom?
- Those who are extreme gamers
- For those camera-focused users (see the Ultra model)
- Those who want high-wattage fast charging
Final Verdict
Samsung Galaxy S25 is a balanced flagship phone.
Its design is premium, the display is amazing, the performance is fast, and the software is futuristic. Although some aspects are played a bit too safe, it is still a “Reliable All-Rounder”.
